本日は宮城大学平成２３年度卒業生学位授与式です。
ご卒業の皆様、おめでとうございます。
昨年は、３月１１日の東日本大震災発災以降、大学の授業もすぐに始めることが出来ず、新学期は５月の連休明けからというスタートでした。
以降、今年の卒業生達は卒業研究、震災復興支援など、様々な活動に参画しつつ、自身の大学生生活の最終年を充実させてきたことと思います。
そうした経験を積まれた皆さんは、格別の存在として宮城大学を卒業されていきますが、是非この大切な体験を活かして、新しい社会の発展、文明の建設に尽力いただけることをお祈り申し上げます。
また、明日３月１２日は昨春に卒業し、震災で卒業式をすることが出来なかった皆さんの「１年遅れの卒業式」です。
多くのすでに卒業後の新しい生活を始められている皆さんが母校である宮城大学に集まってくださるとのこと。
改めてお祝いの言葉をかけてあげたいと思います。
